Drake has proven himself to be a betting man, as he’s joined fellow football fans by placing bets on the World Cup...

When his friend let out a laugh, Drake told his team off camera to set up a poll to see who fans sided with. However, not everyone is happy with Drake supporting their team, as plenty in the comments claimed Argentina is now doomed with the ‘Drake Curse.’The Canadian singer and a friend exchanged bets, with his pal supporting France ‘Messi cursed for rest of the season’, wrote another.

For some background, the Drake Curse has been around for a while, and it basically refers to how, when Drake has shown his support for sporting teams in the past… they have lost.Who are you backing to win the World Cup?The four-time Grammy award winner has often been accused of sealing the fate of athletes and teams in recent years, after wearing a team’s shirt, posing for a photo alongside an athlete, or publicly voicing his support.

The so-called curse got so extreme that, in 2019, A.S. Roma even joked on Twitter that they had banned all of their players from having their pictures taken with Drake. Past examples of the ‘Drake Curse’ include Anthony Joshua joking that he was a victim after his American debut was spoiled by Jarrell Miller’s failed drug tests.
