You see, Thor, Jane Foster's Mighty Thor, Star-Lord, Black Panther, Reed Richards, and Dr. Doom play huge roles inand so it makes sense that these films could all be building the foundation for what's to come.This telling of multiple universes being destroyed is very similar to what He Who Remains explained in theseries.
