Sudbury loses first at-home playoff game 5-3 to Peterborough
There was OHL playoff hockey in the Nickel City for the first time in a few seasons on Tuesday night, with 3,366 excited Sudbury Wolves fans in attendance, hoping to see their team get back into the series against the Peterborough Petes in Game 3.
Kocha Delic scored to break the tie for the Wolves at 16:49 of the first period, to give the Sudbury Wolves a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes of play. At 6:02 of the third period, Peterborough extended their lead to 4-2 on a goal from Owen Beck, his first of the playoffs. At 18:03 of the third period, Avery Hayes scored his second goal of the night, and fourth of the playoffs, to give the Petes a 5-2 lead.
