The court is examining whether Mr Trump falsified business records over the $130,000 payment made to Ms Daniels, by his former lawyer, Michael Cohen. The lawyer gave evidence to the grand jury in recent weeks and has pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws among other charges related to the case in 2018.
