WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump's physician dismissed speculation late Monday about his unexpected trip to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center over the weekend, calling the visit"routine" and"preventative."
White House officials have been working to downplay the unexpected visit on Saturday to the suburban Washington medical center. The president's annual physical usually is announced in advance to avoid speculation about his health, but was not in this case. "Primary preventative care is something that occurs continuously throughout the year, it is not just a single annual event," Conley wrote in a memo release late Monday by the White House.
