On Tuesday, Trump was charged with 34 counts of business fraud related to alleged 2016 hush money payments. The former president pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.Maddow told viewers the network would not be airing the speech.
“We don’t consider that necessarily newsworthy, and there is a cost to us as a news organization of knowingly broadcasting untrue things,” she added. The MSNBC host then turned to the panel of liberal commentators joining her to discuss the former president’s arraignment and the indictment’s unsealing of charges.
