Justice secretary Dominic Raab will be heading to London’s Court of Appeal's tomorrow in a bid to stop the eearly release from prison of Jody Simpson whose eight-year-old son lost both legs after being abused.
were jailed in 2018 after a court heard harrowing details about their abuse of young Tony Hudgell.
Mr Raab, who is also deputy prime minister, said: ‘Tony Hudgell was mercilessly tortured by his birth parents, the very people who should have loved and cared for him. She and her husband Mark, from Kent, have also set up the Tony Hudgell Foundation – aimed at enhancing the lives of children affected by physical, emotional or psychological abuse.
