Dolly Parton just gave quite the surprising update on the real-life Jolene (via toofab)
"Just so you know, I did see Jolene not long ago," she leaned in to tell Jimmy Fallon.
"This woman I tell the story about, this girl that worked at the bank when we first got married, this beautiful redhead. And he's spending more time at the bank than we had money," she quipped. "And I thought, 'Well that ain't gonna work out too good.'"But it appears Jolene isn't as much of a head-turner anymore, as Dolly recently had a run-in with her.. "She's not so hot now," Dolly confessed as the host and audience burst into laughter.
Dolly was on the show to promote her new Netflix anthology series "Dolly Parton's Heartstrings," which contains eight episodes revolving around the story lines in eight of her songs.
