Tamieka White, a deputy with the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Indiana, died in a dog attack Wednesday, authorities say.
Indiana — A sheriff’s deputy was killed and her 8-year-old son was injured Tuesday night when the dog they were watching for another person attacked them in their home, reports say.a post on Facebook“She was a bright light to everyone and will missed by all who knew her,” the post says. “We will work tirelessly to uphold her memory.”White was killed while trying to protect her son from the dog. She was pronounced dead shortly after the attack was reported at about 7:45 p.m.
