A coalition of 40 groups and individuals are urging officials to quickly intervene with the upcoming shutdown of A&C Bus Corp.

Echoing the words of Captain America from “Avengers: Endgame,” a coalition of neighborhood associations, activists and others are urging elected leaders and NJ Transit to do “whatever it takes” to save bus routes on the West Side of Jersey City.
The coalition, which includes 40 community groups and individuals, is hoping a unified voice will jar state and local officials into action as the the days of A&C Bus service in the southwest section of the state’s second-largest city dwindles. The company, which fell on hard times during the pandemic, plans to shut down by Oct. 31.
