A sophomore blocker out of Central Michigan, Goedeke played 457 snaps at left guard last season. Goedeke struggled mightily as a rookie small-schooler.
Goedeke is at least familiar with the position, having played right tackle in college. Goedeke switched to left guard in 2022 partially because the Buccaneers had a larger need at the position, but also because his 32.5-inch arms rank within the 11th percentile of NFL tackles, per. Goedeke was always expected to kick inside, but Tampa Bay’s failure to prepare means Goedeke may be moving back outside to right tackle.
