UN says a distress signal was detected in an isolated group of Ha'apai islands, adding it has particular concerns about Fonoi and Mango islands where more than 100 Tonga people live

"An active distress beacon had been detected from Mango," the OCHA said. The island is home to more than 30 people, according to Tongan census figures. "Further volcanic activity cannot be ruled out," OCHA said, reporting only minor injuries but emphasising that formal assessments, especially of the outer islands, had yet to be determined.No details of the missing were released but the brother of a British woman who was swept away by the tsunami said his sister's body had been found.
Angela Glover, 50, and her husband lived in Tonga were she ran an animal welfare charity providing shelter and rehoming stray dogs.
