Walt Disney is launching Disney+ on Nov. 12 for $6.99 a month. Verizon Communications said it will offer at that date the video streaming service to its new and existing customers free for 12 months.AT&T unveiled more details regarding its forthcoming video-streaming service during a presentation for media on Oct. 29. HBO Max is launching in May 2020 and will cost $14.99 per month.
Netflix missed its forecast of U.S. streaming subscriber net additions in the third quarter partly due to price increases. Its standard package costs $12.99 a month. The company said on Oct. 16 that its worldwide customers totaled 158 million.
