Along with several fan-favorite characters, the upcoming Ahsoka series is rumored to include a familiar lightsaber wielded by another Mandalorian.
A new Ahsoka show rumor suggests Din Djarin may not be the only Mandalorian with a lightsaber. Live-action Star Wars shows like The Mandalorian have been preparing the way for Ahsoka for some time, offering ideas of what weapons the upcoming series could include. For its part, The Mandalorian has featured the Darksaber prominently, with Djarin its most notable user.
However, according to a new rumor from Making Star Wars, Djarin won't be the only Mandalorian with a lightsaber by the time the Ahsoka show debuts. The rumor suggests Sabine Wren will be wielding Ezra Bridger's green lightsaber often in the show. Additionally, it indicates Ezra has developed his own combat style and might not require the lightsaber at all anymore.
Sabine’s impressive background with weapons, including her training with Ezra on how to use the very lightsaber she is now rumored to wield, implies that she’ll be showing off her combat skills many times throughout Ahsoka. She is also a former holder of the Darksaber, so it's likely that there will be some elaboration on the weapon in Ahsoka.
No matter what happens in the upcoming show, it seems reasonable to assume that the rumors surrounding Sabine's weapon of choice will have some truth behind them. Ultimately, audiences will have to wait and see what happens concerning Ezra's lightsaber and the Darksaber. However, Sabine's relationship and history with both blades make Ahsoka the perfect opportunity to elaborate on the weapons.
