During the interview, Turner told King she had moved there because her boyfriend moved there for work, and that she was very happy.to The Washington Post, that meant that she had taken Swiss citizenship with the intent to"lose her U.S. citizenship," as opposed to formally"renouncing" her U.S. citizenship, a more complex process. The publication also reported that Turner declared she no longer had strong ties to the U.S.
