Princess Diana's niece opted against wearing her wedding tiara over 'painful memories'
Lady Kitty Spencer married billionaire Michael Lewis in 2021 in an extravagant ceremony in Italy where she wore five different wedding gowns throughout the day.
The tiara belongs to the Spencer family, but Kitty opted not to wear it on the day of her nuptials and has never discussed her decision. “It is thought that wearing the tiara would bring back painful memories for Kitty, remembering her aunt who died in tragic circumstances, and also memories of her own mother’s marriage which was also not a happy ending."
Kitty and Michael's nuptials were attended by her sisters Eliza and Amelia, former Strictly Come Dancing star Viscountess Emma Weymouth, and celebrity friends including Pixie Lott, Idris Elba's wife Sabrina and Made In Chelsea's Mark Vandelli.
