They can’t afford to fall down 0-2 in this series with the way the Phillies are swinging the bats.Philadelphia is starting righty Aaron Nola. He has been dominant this postseason, 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA. Nola won his only start against the D-backs in the regular season, going 6 2.3 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits and 9 strikeouts.
At the plate, the Phillies set a postseason record with 12 home runs over the past 3-games, including three in Game 1. That makes 16 home runs in their last seven games, averaging a league best 5.1 runs per game.D-backs starter Merrill Kelly is calling this the “biggest of his career.” He’s 1-0 this postseason and hasn’t allowed a run. Kelly was near perfect in their 11-2 win over the Dodgers in Game 2 of the NLDS.
