A newly released criminal complaint from the FBI contains previously undisclosed details about the recent attack on Paul Pelosi.
In an interview with San Francisco police officers, David DePape, the 42-year-old man accused of assaulting Pelosi, said he broke into Pelosi's home on Broadway near Divisadero by breaking a glass door with a hammer. He allegedly told police that Pelosi, 82, was in bed and appeared surprised by his presence. From there, DePape told Pelosi to wake up and asked about Nancy's whereabouts.
DePape told authorities that he viewed Nancy as the"leader of the pack" and said she is responsible for the"lies" told by the Democratic Party. The criminal complaint says that, when DePape removed the ties from his pocket, Pelosi"moved towards another part of the house," but DePape stopped him and the two went to the bedroom together. While talking to one another, Pelosi went to the bathroom and used a phone to call 911.
