“The defendant has a history of stalking, harassment, or terroristic threats (toward any victim),” the criminal complaint said of Mallard.
The 32-year-old Camden County mother of two young children was brutally murdered whenon Mother’s Day morning by her ex-boyfriend, 35-year-old Gregory Mallard, in a pickup truck that she had purchased for the former felon, authorities said.
The couple had been estranged and at some point Mendoza had filed for a restraining order against Mallard, family members have said. After the first strike Mendoza jumped up and tried to run, authorities said in the criminal complaint. That’s when Mallard made a U-turn and ran over her again, leaving Mendoza unresponsive.
