Destiny has had a big release every September the last five years. With the arrival of Borderlands 3, they should think of a new plan.
, I highly, highly recommend thatabandons this plan, especially with newfound flexibility after the dissolution of the Activision deal.was always going to be a huge threat, but now having played it, it is increasingly clear that Gearbox has likely not screwed this up. They kept the core formula while improving things where it matters, making it bigger while avoiding live-service trappings that many players are growing tired of.
Even as one of the biggestsuperfans in games media with thousands of hours into the series, I will not hesitate to drop it for a second in order to playfor a solid month before even touching another game. I’ve been waiting seven years for this game, and after getting a taste of it ahead of time, it seems clear that this is indeed the game I have been waiting for, not some lobotomized, over-monetized version of it. It’s the real deal.
