After a brief Twitter takeover of the Destiny 2 account by Savathun, Bungie is promoting Witch Queen in a few other (less abrasive) ways. One of them? A listen in over Hive comms to hear the newly created Hive ghosts…issuing orders to the Hive. Namely, Savathun’s ghost.
So, a few things.
First, while I guess since our ghosts talk to us, it makes sense Hive ghosts talk to them as well, I guess I just didn’t expect theirs to sound like…gruff military commanders or something, and more badass than any of our own ghosts. Second, I am not sure who this voice actor is, but many people have said it sounds like Ultron, which got me thinking that while no, it’s certainly not James Spader, I do wonder if it could be The Walking Dead actor Ross Marquand, who voiced Ultron in the What If…? animated series, and has also voiced/play Red Skull in Avengers . I have nothing to confirm this yet, however. Previously, The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan voiced the Exo Stranger, but she was eventually replaced.
I’ll be honest, I did not have “hear a Hive ghost speak” on my bingo card for this entire expansion. It honestly never even occurred to me. But if thereghost, we’ll see if Immaru has anything to say about that.
