The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board has approved changes that will impact elementary students in the Newcastle area.
It means Newcastle Public School will become a Junior Kindergarten to Grade 4 dual-track French Immersion School. The board did say they continue to prioritize funding to build a new JK to Grade 12 school on board-owned property in Newcastle.
