TikTok is a conundrum for advertising and public relations professionals, much as it is for governments and legislators. And it seems that the social media platform has just scored an idiotic own goal.globally since 2020, overtaking rivals such as Instagram and WeChat and now heading towards two billion users as it gains ground on the market leader Facebook.

As such, it is an attractive medium for marketing professionals. TikTok is becoming more flexible in its formats. Famous originally for short video clips, the platform beloved by Generation Z is now launching a feature called Series, allowing popular TikTok creators to share videos up to 20 minutes long.
