Review: Nancy Buirski’s documentary, 'Desperate Souls, Dark City and the Legend of Midnight Cowboy,' features new contributions from Jon Voight and archival discussions with Dustin Hoffman about the film
At the close of filming “Midnight Cowboy,” the Oscar-winning inquiry into the decline and fall of two sinners in a Stygian late-’60s New York, its director,, was in a state of panic about the results.
