More award nods for the brilliant DerryGirls
Hit Northern Irish comedy Derry Girls has been nominated for two of the top accolades at this year's Broadcast Awards.
The Broadcast Awards are the most hotly anticipated event in the television industry calendar, celebrating the very best in British programming and channels - they recognise and reward the UK’s most ground-breaking content, creators and channels. The Channel 4 series, written and created by Derry's own Lisa McGee, has been recognised alongside the best-of-the-best in the UK in two major categories.Derry Girls has been shortlisted for 'Best Comedy Programme' and 'TV Moment of the Year' for Erin's monologue in the final episode at the Broadcast Awards 2023.Last month, the hit series was also nominated for three top accolades at the National Comedy Awards 2023.
