Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland visits at the Port of Argentia Monday afternoon as a wind turbine monopile sits in the marshalling yard at the port. Freeland said this government funding will help companies like Pattrn and make great careers in Newfoundland and Labrador. "I know how many really skilled tradespeople you are so lucky to have here in your province. That expertise is more valuable than ever."Neighbouring Argentia's monopile laydown is the White Rose, a concrete gravity-base structure.The White Rose is an oil rig that will be located in the Jeanne de'Arc Basin 350 kilometres east of St. John's.
