Wednesday will be mostly sunny in Denver, and the high is 52 degrees. 🌞
The central and northern mountains are expected to get about one to three inches of snow during Wednesday’s light snowfall event. Some areas could even get four inches of snowfall, but the main focus in the high country is several areas being in avalanche warnings.
The Gore Range, Vail area, Elk Mountains and West Elk Mountains have “very dangerous” avalanche conditions lasting through Wednesday evening. The San Juan Mountains are in the warning through Thursday morning. Large and dangerous avalanches can be easily triggered on steep northerly- and easterly-facing slopes at all elevations, and travel in backcountry avalanche terrain is not recommended.
