Denver and the I-25 corridor continue to see warm, sunny days, but humidity dropping and winds picking up throughout the day Friday will to increased fire danger.
Denver’s high Friday is 84 degrees. Winds will be between six and 16 mph, with gusts of up to 25 mph.
The increased fire danger is worse in the south-central part of the state, from El Paso County to the New Mexico border, where a red flag warning is in place until 7 p.m. It will be windy and dry today leading to HIGH FIRE DANGER in and near the mountains. Although winds will be lighter across the southeast plains, it will be breezy at times with brief near critical fire weather conditions possible. Please avoid fire starts!
