Downtown Denver received 6.5 inches of snow, and most Denver suburbs received between four and six inches of snow
. Aurora received the most in the area with 11 inches total.
Denver’s weather Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny and stay cool due to the snow on the ground, with a high of 39 degrees. Slight winds of about six to eight mph are possible during the day. The only weather features in northeast Colorado Thursday are lingering snow flurries in the far northeast corner of the state and dense fog in Weld and Larimer counties. Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder advised drivers on Interstate 25 near Fort Collins to be wary of the fog through mid-morning.Another weaker storm system will pass through the state Friday, but the main part of the storm will stay south of Denver.
