A 57-year-old Denver man was found shot to death inside an RV at a Jefferson County Park-N-Ride lot Friday afternoon, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Hire had not been reported missing to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, spokeswoman Karlyn Tilley said Sunday. She was not sure how long the body had been in the RV before deputies found it or why RV was parked in the lot.
“We weren’t looking for him,” she said Sunday. “We routinely patrol those parking lots. … When our deputy saw the door was flapping open, he went up for a welfare check and when he peeked inside he saw someone in there.”searching for suspect in death of 57yr old Matthew Hire of Denver, fatally shot in RV parked near Golden on April 14.
