Incumbent President Joe Biden won the state with over 89% of the vote, while Williamson received 2.9%, half as much as theKnown for her work as an author, she also ran for President on the Democratic ticket in 2020. While she was a longshot candidate in both elections,in the form of slant, a recent AllSides analysis found. Remaining in the race is longshot Rep. Dean Phillips who elected to skip the Nevada primary.
"We did what we could to shed some light in some very darkened times. For that I will always be so grateful," Williamson said. In a statement on her campaign website, Williamson said she greatly appreciated the people who supported her, adding: “While the level of our failure is obvious to all, a level of success is real nonetheless.”
Williamson, who also ran for the Democratic nomination in 2020, not only got walloped by President Joe Biden on Tuesday, but she also suffered defeat to the “none of these candidates” option on the ballot. She announced she would end her campaign in an email to supporters.
