Democratic lawmakers wrote a letter to President Biden to urge action in Israel in response to recent violence between Israeli forces and residents in the West Bank.

In the letter, 14 Democrats urged Biden to"ensure U.S. taxpayer funds do not support projects in illegal settlements" and to determine whether aid sent to Israel is being used to"commit or support gross violations of human rights by the Israeli government." U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, Ayanna Pressley, D-MA, Ilhan Omar, D-MN, Rashida Tlaib, D-MI, and others urged the Biden administration to address recent violence in Israel.
