Ahead of David Blaine's ABC special 'The Magic Way,' he says his daughter Dessa is even better at magic.
Blaine says he initially declined ABC's request for an April Fools' Day project."But then when they said to me, 'I think people could use a little break and a small moment of magic could give people that for a minute,' I said, 'OK.'"
But anyone familiar with Blaine's work knows that not every moment is exactly feel-good. Some acts, like sewing his mouth shut in front of Blunt and Krasinski, or chewing glass for Bündchen andTom Brady, may be cringe-inducing for some. Blaine says his dentist, for one, is not a fan of his munching on glass, which he agrees is "horrible" and left him without enamel.
"My mouth hurts all the time," he says."If I drink anything warm or cold it kills on my teeth. It’s stupid; I should stop." But the days of glass-eating might be gone, if Dessa voices disapproval. And Blaine has"a funny feeling that’s gonna happen soon."100 things to do
