Dave Bautista got a Winnie the Pooh tattoo as a result of My Spy co-star Chloe Coleman.
Dave Bautista has a lot of ink that tell the story of his life, and he has a cute story for one of them. The former WWE legend turned movie star has quite of collection that took a lot of time to acquire: the massive tattoo of a dragon on his back alone took close to 50 hours to complete. Bautista got his first tattoo when he was 18, and it was a heart that looked like cement with the words “Heart of Stone” around it; to hid it in a location his father wouldn't notice.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Dave Bautista has one tattoo that may seem out of character for some, and that’s a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh on the back of his leg. In a video for GQ, Bautista explained that he got the tattoo because of his co-star for My Spy, Chloe Coleman. Following an interview where Coleman incorrectly guessed he already had a tattoo of the lovable bear, Bautista decided to get one in her honor.
As his depiction of Drax may seem like a comedic relief role at times, Bautista wants to broaden his horizons. This move is also one of the reasons why Dave Bautista is considered one of the best ex-wrestler turned actors: he seems to be more selective about his roles as an actor.
Bautista has kept his plate full outside the MCU. Besides Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, he just recently starred in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and he’ll also be reprising his role as Rabban in Dune: Part Two, which comes out November 3, 2023. Movies like My Spy have shown off even more of his comedic chops outside the boisterous Drax. While Guardians of the Galaxy helped make Bautista a household name, he has clearly proven he can play more dramatic roles.
