Actor, writer, producer and director Dannystrong opens up about his career, finding his stride in screenwriting, and his latest series, dopesickonhulu.
Strong was most recently honored for his work co-creating the popular musical drama seriesAlthough the California native is the first to admit that, he can sometimes be “very Hollywood,” his interest in politics—and political dynasties—has been a driving force behind his career.
That said, the beginning of Strong’s career wasn’t as fulfilling as he initially hoped. His first major television gig was playing Jonathan Levinson on. The character, he remembered, was only supposed to appear for a few episodes and was a bit of a gimmick but they decided to keep him around for more. He popped up on some later seasons ofand eventual boyfriend of Paris, Rory Gilmore’s best friend.
