Damian Lillard has"serious interest" in a trade to the Miami Heat if he decides he would like to move on from the Portland Trail Blazers, reports Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Lillard has $216 million over four seasons remaining on his contract, which Amick writes will be a factor in Lillard ensuring he is traded to a situation that is to his liking. In an offseason interview, Lillard talked about playing with the Heat as a hypothetical due to his friendship with Bam Adebayo.
The Heat have enough assets to put together a competitive offer for Lillard if he becomes available. The Brooklyn Nets are widely viewed as the other realistic trade destination for Lillard.
