A Tarrant County man is suing Dallas County and a sheriff’s deputy after he says his personal information was revealed to more than 100 people after the deputy livestreamed a traffic stop through TikTok.

“The facts of this case beg the question: how many other traffic stops of Dallas County citizens has Deputy Castillo or another Dallas County Sheriff’s Deputy livestreamed over social media?” Osby’s lawyers wrote in the lawsuit. Twenty minutes after the stop, Osby received a message from someone who had viewed the stream. That viewer told Osby his personal information was visible on his driver’s license and gave Osby Castillo’s username — “cycocisco.” The viewer also shared a screenshot of the video showing 109 people were watching the stream at one point.
