Daisy credited her birth mother for speaking out about the horrific attack she endured when she was just 13 years old, in Birmingham during the 1970s.Daisy said: “This is a such huge salute to my birth mother’s bravery as a child.
In relation to violence against women and girls, Daisy said: “We need to do everything we can do, use the law in anyway we can to seek justice and protect further children and women.” “I always felt when this story gets out in the public people will be so shocked that it has been such a fight.“There’s two positions the mother, the child, so it’s been integral that the conversations been out there for people to really understand because it has been so hidden away.According to Daisy, the amendments to the Victims Bill will have far-reaching impacts on children conceived through rape.
The court heard, the findings from the DNA results showed the defendant was 22 million times more likely to be her father than any other unknown African-Caribbean man unrelated to him.
