The suspect in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 280 in San Mateo County was charged with five felonies and one misdemeanor, said Steve Wagstaffe, the county’s district attorney.

Constellatia Martin, 24, was charged Thursday with vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence of drugs causing death, driving under the influence of drugs causing great bodily injury, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death and leaving the scene where great bodily injury was caused — all felony charges. Martin was also charged with driving the wrong way on a divided highway resulting in death, a misdemeanor.
A 54-year-old San Francisco woman, identified as Eden Palmer, died at the scene after Martin allegedly crashed into her vehicle, officials said. Palmer’s 14-year-old son was also in the vehicle and sustained serious injuries, CHP said.
