Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has released its official synopsis, and the anime will go live before long!
✖ Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest game from the team behind The Witcher, and its high-tech world is about to come to life in a new way. After all, CD Projekt Red is teaming up with one of Japan's top anime studios to adapt a new story for fans. This year will see the release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and we've just gotten our first blurb about the upcoming series.
CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS is an animated series from @CDPROJEKTRED + @trigger_inc that follows a street kid trying to survive in a tech and body mod-obsessed city of the future. With everything to lose, he chooses to become an edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk pic.twitter.com/4Mgip2pJSG
As you can see above, this new series will follow an original character as he finds himself thrown into the modded life of an outlaw. Fans of the original Cyberpunk 2077 game will surely be able to find favorite spots and NPCs throughout the series once it goes live. And given Trigger's track record with anime, there is little doubt this futuristic show will be a treat for the eyes.
