The Cuyahoga County Clerk of Courts office now offers 24-hour payments through a new online system on the clerk’s website.
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County took another step to make it easier for people to bond out of jail.
A credit card processing fee of 3% of the bond amount, payable to the credit card vendor, is required if the bond is paid in person or online. The state mandated reparation fee is also required. Once paid, the sheriff department’s Release Desk is notified for processing. “Thanks to the forward-thinking of the clerk’s team, payments can be made quickly in the comfort of home with little fuss,” County Executive Armond Budish said in a news release about the change. “This new option is available 24/7, 365 , not just during standard workday hours.”
