Published: May. 7, 2024 at 5:50 PM EDTAs many shine a light on how to help those who struggle with mental health , Shaker Heights Police Department is gaining high praise.
The program, launched in 2022, is making such an impact, Cuyahoga County leaders are expanding it to 4 other cities: Cleveland Heights, Richmond Heights, South Euclid, and University Heights.“As someone who’s had the priveilge to work with local law enforcement for 20 years. I know the situations, my chiefs have told me, we need your help. This doesn’t weaken law enforcement, it only strengthens the partnership to get our citizens what they need,” said Chris Ronayne, Cuyahoga County Executive.
