The timing and reason for Bassiri’s departure weren’t disclosed. Before joining Arca he spent a decade at Big Four accounting firm KPMG on the mergers and acquisitions team, including a stint as a decentralized finance analyst.
Bassiri's exit comes several months after the Arca Digital Yield Fund – which he co-managed with Arca Chief Investment Offiucer Jeff Dorman – was shuttered. The Digital Yield Fund opened for business in the summer of 2021 but
