Cheticamp-based photographer Michel JS Soucy said this coyote caught his attention while driving along the west side of the Cabot Trail near Pleasant Bay, which started chasing after motorcycles and bicycles. According to a Parks Canada official, a cyclist travelling in Green Cove along the Cabot Trail was bitten by another coyote on Wednesday. "It’s weird to hear about two coyotes, in separate areas, behaving in the same fashion,” said Soucy.
It’s believed the coyote being sought in the latest attack may have been fed by people and had lost its fear of humans. Cheticamp-based photographer Michel Soucy:"just laid on the horn and eventually that caused the coyote to give up the chase." CONTRIBUTED
