“If you think that the challenge you are facing is too difficult to conquer, you might not be able to succeed, you are putting yourself in a disadvantageous position,” Durde said. “Issac has to go through the process in the best way, do it in the best way possible. He needs to learn and take the opportunities that come his way. He is an intelligent player, he must do what he is capable to do, control the situations that he can control and he’s doing a great job in that regard.
More than 50 players from 18 countries have trained in the U.S. through the program. So far, the program has introduced players from Australia, Austria, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. “The NFL is doing a great job of opening the doors to players from other countries and other cultures. Once here, the players must show that they can play at this level,” Durde said. “Football is an incredible sport. I love this sport. The more people experience it, the better.”The five-episode series followed the team as it prepared for the season. It was the perfect setting for the Monterrey-born player to show fans his character and work ethic.
