Illinois reported 6,075 new COVID cases and 12 new deaths Tuesday.
IDPH said"daily deaths reported on weekends and at the beginning of the week may be low" and"those deaths will be captured in subsequent days."
As of Monday night, 1,336 patients in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 149 patients were in the ICU, and 45 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators. Health officials say 24% of hospital beds are available. Cook County returned to a medium COVID community level based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention metrics, the Chicago Department of Public Health announced Friday.
