Pfizer said new data shows its kid-sized COVID-19 booster could help healthy elementary-aged children rev up virus-fighting antibodies and plans to seek authorization soon.

Pfizer said Thursday it wants to expand itsfor the best protection against the newest variants -- and recently gave the option of a second booster to those 50 and older.healthy 5- to 11-year-olds could benefit from another kid-sized shot.

A new, wearable device may help alert you if you are exposed to COVID-19. Researchers at the Yale School of Public Health developed an easy-to-clip-on device that can help detect low levels of SARS-COV-2 and subsequently whether a person has been exposed. In the coming days, the companies plan to ask the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to authorize a booster for healthy 5- to 11-year-olds. They also plan to share the data with European and other regulators.
