Local non-profit Bizzzy Bea’s on a mission to feed the houseless hungry
Bizzzy Bea’s is planning a Country and Western Gala, and everyone is invited!
Dupuis started out by picking up excess food herself and cooking it up into meals in her own kitchen, driving downtown and delivering the meals out in the houseless community. “The meals she was making, they were kind of a hodgepodge of leftovers, whipped into a tasty meal or soup or stew, and they reminded her of meals her grandmother used to serve,” chuckled Junge.
“But of course, as a non-profit, especially one in these times, serving the houseless, the need is always growing, and the need for financial support never lets up,” said Junge.“We had our first gala fundraising event last year, it was a masquerade theme, and at the same venue, Natura Catering and Events. This year, we decided to switch up the theme and do Country and Western.
