"I'm a stay-at-home mom to an incredible little girl, who loves to bake and cook with me," says Davis, who lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia, "I have my days mostly to myself. I bake at least once a week and have always loved photography, so I decided to start shooting the baked goods I was making." And thus,was born. Rage Bake is Davis's food blog, which is named after her favorite way to deal with stress: baking.
Whether or not these cookies came from rage, we're sure glad they were invented. They started as a departure from a classic Hershey's chocolate chip cookie recipe . Davis got bored with a plain chocolate chip cookie, after eating them for years. She needed something new, and as they say, necessity is the mother of invention., which gives the cookie a toasty, nutty flavor. Davis also adds a Skor bar, a chocolate-dipped piece of butter toffee that's similar to a Heath bar.
And her friends agree. Davis gets bombarded with requests for the cookies from friends and family. She's actually pretty well known for them, after selling them for a while at her local farmers' market. And now that we've had a taste, Davis is lucky she gave us the recipe. Otherwise, she'd be having to deal with a few more badgering cookie fiends.
