Former Coronation Street star Saira Choudhry has officially announced her engagement to long-term partner Marcus Jackson, a whopping 23 years on since first meeting.
“Love you @jaxson_2013. Met you 23 years ago. Who knew our journey would lead us here. Here’s to our next chapter.” Standing in front of a stained glass window, a shocked Saira grinned at the camera, as an equally smitten Marcus smiled for the photographer to capture the life changing moment on film. Sharing their delight at her news, Sarah Lawrence, who played Darlene on the show, wrote: “You deserve all the happiness in the world my girl.”
